Akker Fassi (also spelled aker fassi) is the original Moroccan beauty tint. For centuries, women in Fez used this rosy powder to colour their lips and cheeks naturally. Today it's loved as a clean, plant-based alternative to lip tints and blush, and as a softening scrub for lips, body and feet.

What is Akker Fassi?

Our Akker Fassi Powder contains just two ingredients: dried poppy petals and pomegranate peel. No synthetic colour, no dyes, nothing added. The colour comes entirely from plant pigments, and pomegranate is naturally rich in antioxidants.

Akker Fassi adds a soft rosy tint to lips and cheeks, helps brighten dull skin, and leaves skin looking fresh and radiant.

1. Akker Fassi lip and blush oil

Mix a pinch of Akker Fassi with a few drops of argan oil. Apply to lips for a natural glossy tint, or to cheeks as a light blush, blending gently with your fingers. Build gradually for a deeper colour.

Or, step by step:

  1. Take a tiny pinch of powder on a clean fingertip or spoon.
  2. Mix with a drop of Argan Oil, lip balm or water.
  3. Dab onto your lips and press them together. Build up for a deeper colour.

2. Akker Fassi as a blush

Mix a very small amount with a drop of oil or Orange Blossom Water and tap onto the apples of your cheeks. Blend outwards with your fingertips for a fresh, natural flush. A little goes a long way.

3. Akker Fassi lip scrub

Mix 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of honey, a pinch of Akker Fassi and 1–2 drops of argan oil. Apply to your lips and massage gently in circular motions for 1–2 minutes, then rinse or wipe off.

4. Akker Fassi body and foot scrub

Mix 1–2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 tablespoon of shower gel and a pinch of Akker Fassi (or swap the shower gel for a drizzle of argan oil). Apply to damp skin in the shower and massage in circular motions, focusing on rough areas like elbows, knees and heels, then rinse.

5. Akker Fassi foot treatment

  1. For best results, exfoliate your feet first with the M'Hekka foot scrubber.
  2. Mix 1 tablespoon of Moroccan Black Soap with a pinch of Akker Fassi.
  3. Apply to damp feet, massage gently, leave for a few minutes, then rinse.
