In Morocco, orange blossom water (ma'zhar) is everywhere: sprinkled to welcome guests, used in the hammam and kept on every dressing table. Distilled from the blossoms of the bitter orange tree, it's a gentle, beautifully scented floral water that refreshes skin and hair.
What is orange blossom water?
Our Orange Blossom Water is pure Citrus aurantium amara flower water, a natural floral hydrosol. It comes in a 200ml bottle; add our Fine Mist Spray Pump to turn it into a facial mist.
Benefits for the skin
- Tones and refreshes: leaves skin feeling clean, soft and awake.
- Gentle: suitable for most skin types, including sensitive skin.
- Preps skin: damp skin absorbs oils and serums better.
- Calms and brightens: helps calm the look of redness and revives a dull complexion.
- Balances: helps balance oil and restores comfort, reducing tightness.
- A beautiful scent: a soft floral aroma that relaxes the senses.
How to use it as a face toner
After cleansing, mist directly onto your face or sweep over with a cotton pad. Follow with Argan Oil or Prickly Pear Seed Oil while skin is still damp.
How to use it as a facial mist
Spritz any time during the day to refresh your skin, or lightly over make-up for a dewy finish.
Mix it into your masks
Orange blossom water is the traditional liquid for Moroccan masks. Use it instead of water with Rhassoul, Ranila, Sidr or Tebrima for a softer, scented mask. It's also perfect for misting a clay mask so it doesn't dry out.
For the body
Spray onto your neck, chest and body after showering. It leaves skin lightly scented and softly refreshed.
For hair and scalp
Lightly mist over hair to smooth flyaways and refresh between washes. It helps reduce build-up odour and adds a delicate floral scent.
When to use it
- Morning: after cleansing, to brighten and awaken the skin before your moisturiser or oil.
- Evening: after cleansing, to calm and balance before your moisturiser or oil.
- Any time: as a refreshing, mood-lifting mist.
